As the mother's of three Edgewood High School teenagers diagnosed with thyroid
cancer in our small community, we found that there wasn't much information available about this disease in children. It
is with great love and dedication that we bring you the stories of our children's struggles, triumphs and journeys through
pediatric thyroid cancer. It is our hope that through education and awareness that no other child or family will suffer
through this disease in the dark.
We urge you and your family to seek yearly physicals, including thyroid testing.
Our Mission
Thykidz Inc. is an organization of thyroid cancer survivors and families dedicated to promoting thyroid cancer awareness
by:
- Educating the general public of the signs and symptoms of thyroid cancer
- Sharing information and providing emotional support to families touched by thyroid cancer
- Networking with other groups working in the area of thyroid cancer research and education
- Raising funds that will be used in various ways to help in the fight against cancer
